The Jammu and Kashmir terror attack, reported to be one of the deadliest attacks after URI has left us in great distress. The incident brought along immense pain for the family whose members belonging to J&K army couldn’t survive the calamity. About 44 CRPF jawans were killed and 20 were injured attack when a Jaish suicide bomber rammed a vehicle carrying over 300 kg of explosives into their bus in Pulwama district.
While the country is stunned at this incident, thousands of people and platforms have been contributing the best they can in the process of overcoming their loss. Paytm too, has came forward with a step towards helping the martyred families by making it easier for the common people to donate funds.
Paytm has collaborated with CRPF wives association and has formed a separate gateway for quick payments in order to facilitate donation. The donations can be made easily by clicking on the “CRPF Wives Welfare Association” option available under the Donation tab on Paytm website.
For people using Paytm mobile app, a link named “CRPF Bravehearts” has been created. The link, CRPF Wives Welfare Association is live and will remain operational up until March 10, 2019.
All you have to do is fill in the required details such as name, pan-card number and the amount you wish to donate. The amount to be donated will either be deducted from your Paytm wallet or any other option available such as debit card, credit card, UPI, Paytm Postpaid, net banking, BHIM UPI, Paytm Payments Bank and so on.
The receipt of the donation can be downloaded from My Orders section within 24 hours. Along with Paytm, platforms like Bharat ke Veer has also been involved in the process of collecting public funds for CAPF personnel killed in action, and to everyone’s surprise, it has got an unprecedented donation of over 7 crore in the last 36 hours.
The traffic of people to donate funds was so immense that it is being said that BKV’s website crashed due to it. Bharat Ke Veer, the fund-raising platform , was launched in April 2017 by the Union Home Ministry. Anyone can contribute to the fund through the BKV mobile app or the website. All contributions are exempt from income tax as per government rules.
